Notes From Dr. Paletta Clinic

February 4, 2011 by Coach Gallion

Click here for notes from a clinic that Dr. Paletta held for the Gamers.

The key messages emphasized were:

1. Good throwing mechanics are key to injury prevention

2. Overuse is the #1 risk. Overuse related to >80% effort in pitching motion – “game speed”

3. Strength, endurance, flexibility and Throwers 10 programs can prevent arm injuries.

4. It is OK to be sore for 1-2 days after pitching. It is not OK to pitch or throw with pain.
