We do some out of town trips as bus trips for 3 reasons:
- It is a good team-building experience for players
- It gives them a glimpse into what college baseball will be like
- It give parents a break from the time, vacation time and travel costs of in the summer
The buses will usually depart on Thursday morning and return Sunday night. Exact times depend on game schedules.
Parents are not required to attend the bus trip events at all. The players will just need to bring all of their uniform items, snacks for hotel room and pregame and roughly $35 per day for food at restaurants. The should bring an extra $20 if we attend a minor league or NCAA playoff game (Nashville).
If parents want to attend some or all of the bus trip event, they are welcome to. But, please stay at a different hotel than the players and do not hang around the team hotel lobby constantly (because that prevents 1-3 above).
Invoices will be sent out from SportsEngine for the bus trips. Player payments must be received 7 days before departure date. Here are the bus trip cost (which include everything except food):
